Exposition and theatre show on sustainable materials management in NTG: “Cradle to Cradle” The Flemish Government aspires to create a better and healthier environment for present and future generations. The Environment, Nature and Energy Department is charged with this task. Taking the key position in the environmental administration, it is responsible for planning and evaluating the environmental policy in compliance with economic and social demands and for the co-ordination of all environmental actors as well as the implementation and enforcement of the environmental legislation in Flanders. The Beci Bike Project is a sustainable modular bicycle storage infrastructure, designed for the city of Brussels. It consists of a portable bike rack (covered or uncovered) for traditional bikes and folding bikes. The entire system fits into one parking place. The package consists of different elements that can be used separately or in combination to meet the needs of any situation, thus avoiding wasting space or materials. Alle the materials are easy to recycle and by using the aluminum profiles, an incredible amount of raw material is saved. This design will undoubtedly contribute to solutions for current traffic congestion problems.

The Boobox is a stand-alone machine that distributes product samples. Consumers interested in getting one simply send a free SMS, in exchange for which they are given an activation code. That, in turn, gives them access to the sample. Unlike most vending machines, the Boobox is completely adjustable to samples with different sizes, weights and forms; it also includes an onboard refrigeration system for items such as dairy products and cooled beverages.
